Three Sessions for Diverse Age Groups
Buzz into Adventure! This summer, your child can dive into the fascinating world of honeybees with our immersive beekeeping camp. We offer three age-specific sessions designed to spark curiosity, cultivate environmental awareness, and introduce potential careers related to bees and sustainability.
Session 1: Little Buzzers (Ages 5-9)
Focus: Playful, hands-on activities to introduce basic bee anatomy, pollination, and honey production.
Activities: Bee-themed story time, building bee hotels, planting pollinator-friendly gardens, creating honey art projects.
Potential future careers: Apiarist (beekeeper), environmental educator, nature writer, urban garden designer.
Session 2: Junior Apiculturists (Ages 10-14)
Focus: In-depth exploration of bee behavior, hive management, and honey extraction with supervised practice.
Activities: Observing live bees, assisting with hive inspections, extracting and processing honey, designing bee-friendly landscapes.
